I haven't been in the dolling community in years but I recently decided i wanted to get back into dolling. I mostly quit years ago thinking I was just not cut out for it. But i have been digital painting a lot lately that i thought maybe I'll give it a go.
I was never really known for my art back in my own pixel art days just because i didn't finish anything. So Im practically a new face around these parts LOL.
Thank you! Yeah, tho learned 1-2 years ago a lot of it stemmed from my ADHD. so that really was an eye opener for me haha. but im excited to get back into dolling.

Oh boy do I know that feeling. I'm in the middle of like 50 art projects right now and just keep bouncing around them not getting anything done. LOL. But welcome back. I took a long break some odd years ago, and during that time I did digital art (still do), and then I decided to get back into dolling, and took what I learned from that and just implemented it into dolling. I still don't feel like I'm great at either but eh you just keep trying your best.
I can relate! I've been doing digital art forever, but I just got interested in pixeling. I was always on Gaia and Menewsha and sites like that, so I think I got intimidated by that level of complexity of pixeling and thought I'd never be able to do it. I think digital illustration skills can be really transferrable to pixel art, I notice especially my practice with shading and linework have given me kind of a leg up. It's definitely good for me to start small, I get really ambitious because I know what I can do with regular illustration, and I have to remind myself to stick to a smaller canvas.
