How'd you get into Dolling? i was about 12 years old and i was googling about for neopets stuff. i found soup-faerie.com and they had a teeny tiny little dollmaker on there and it all just went downhill from there
How long have you been Dolling? 15 years off and on, although lately more 'off'. i did a doll yesterday for the first time in 3 years
i used to make all my dolls on the windows 98 version of MSPaint and now i make all my dolls on the windows XP version of paint (which is..... the same.)
some further mildly interesting backstory: i was the admin at The Gathering forum for a few years, if anyone remembers it? it was xandorra's forum but she was absent for most of the latter half of its life and i ended up running the place. i think we eventually closed down in..... 2011? something like that. it was a great place in its heyday, i joined in like 2004 or something and there were some really nice people there. but there seemed to be this gradual dying off across the dolling community as a whole, and a shift from personal websites and forums over to deviant art, and obviously TG didn't escape that.
ANYWAY i always liked forums and i saw a link to this one..... somewhere.... i logged into deviant art for the first time in a while yesterday and there was a link to the forum in one of my 450+ notifications. also i obviously needed another thing to distract me while i'm at work (full disclosure: i am at work right now).
i also do: embroidery, sewing in general, writing, being a garbage can on tumblr
i will sort this all out properly and get an avatar and sig and things when i'm home this evening
