It's coming up. November. Right after October. You can hear the screams rising in the throats of writers all over the world. As it looms closer and closer...
Some questions for my fellow writers and nano'ers out there X) -
Are you a first timer or a veteran?
Do you write by the seat of the pants, or do you plan ahead?
Do you have any idea(s) for what you're going to write? Are you going in blind?
And whatever else you have on your mind X)
Feel free to spill your thoughts here! Misery loves company, after all. 8D
NaNoWriMo - short of National Novel Writing Month - is a challenge in November to write a 50,000 word novel (or 50,000 words in general). It is... Fun. Ridiculous. Painful. ...but fun. Really. I swear. You can believe me! :shifty eyes:
I'm definitely a veteran. I was dragged into told by a friend about nano way back in 2006. I've done nano a handful of times since then.
I am 110% a pantser. <.< The one year I had an outline, I did get a lot of words, but I find knowing what's going to happen at all times boring. >.> Part of the fun of writing for me is exploring the world and the characters as I go.
I am... not at all sure what I'm going to write this nano. I mean, I may continue the story I did for nano 2009. There's a ton of content there, and I adore the characters; world; and story. However, I just. Do not know where to go with it at this point.
IDK, I stopped writing for a while, and I'd love to follow through with nano to try to stretch my writing muscles. We'll see. <.<;;

ugh i don't think i could do NaNoWriMo but i wanna use it as a reason to write more
Are you a first timer or a veteran? First timer! c:
Do you write by the seat of the pants, or do you plan ahead? I have a few ideas, but nothing started or super concrete!
Do you have any idea(s) for what you're going to write? Are you going in blind? Hopefully going to try and do a character profile a day? And a full RP post every other day? Does this count as kind of participating? xD
And whatever else you have on your mind X) (((please send help)))
Re: 3- that totally counts. xD There are some old fogies (including myself shh >.>) who might insist it needs to be something new, original (not fanfic), and a proper "novel" or "story." I like to tease, but screw it, do what you want!! xD
*equips axxy with sporks and ice packs, heating pads, an ergonomic setup for writing, and some totally legal time she stole from a dimension over* Just don't... Don't mention that last one to anyone. :eyes:

Are you a first timer or a veteran? Well I didn't just start writing...>< I've never done NANOWRIMO before though.
Do you write by the seat of the pants, or do you plan ahead? No idea what that means! I generally only write when I have a good idea or just feel like it.
Do you have any idea(s) for what you're going to write? Are you going in blind? I'm working one one based off a story I wrote in high school. Which is unfortunately lost, I remember it pretty well though I think. That said, I keep changing things in it. I add characters, change their names, races, the order of events, entire events or how they go down. makes it kind of hard to get anywhere. One of the main characters has had her name changed 5 times. And her race got changed so that she gains a special ability, that would greatly effect a lot of things.
And whatever else you have on your mind X) I'm sucking at this. Haven't been working on it much.
